Recommended Use of Products

Recommended usage of the ShadeDeck® System

Weather

The ShadeDeck® retractable roof system is primarily a sun and rain protection product. It does not offer weight-bearing capabilities and is therefore not recommended for use during snow conditions.

Structural Integrity

Like any fabric-based product, exposure to the elements is its enemy. Constant fabric uplift due to wind, general sun exposure, and similar environmental factors will gradually cause deterioration in both the appearance and condition of the fabric, as well as its overall structural composition.

For this reason, and to enhance longevity, we recommend that the ShadeDeck® retractable roof be retracted when not in use. When retracted, it is protected by its customized pelmet, helping to minimize unnecessary exposure to the elements.

Proven Performance

Executive Pergolas has over 40 years of collective experience in this field. Following many years of product development and testing, the ShadeDeck® system, in its current form, remains our product of choice and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.

Structural Integrity

Like any fabric-based product, exposure to the elements is its enemy. Constant fabric uplift due to wind, general sun exposure, and similar environmental factors will gradually cause deterioration in both the appearance and condition of the fabric, as well as its overall structural composition.

For this reason, and to enhance longevity, we recommend that the

ScreenWalls® be retracted when not in use. When retracted, they are protected by their fully enclosed aluminum cassette, helping to minimize unnecessary exposure to the elements.

Fabric Choices

When selecting fabrics, the available options are Fabric Zero, which provides a translucent or light-filtering effect; a 5% openness fabric, which offers semi-visibility; or a 10% openness fabric, which provides greater outward visibility and airflow.
